7th May 2014

A team from the Debate Club at Comillas was the winner of a mock debate in English on the Madrid Campus of Saint Louis University, competing against a team from SLU.  The Comillas duo was composed of two Australian exchange students, students in the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences:  Isabel Inkster, who studies Philosophy and Literature at the University of Western Australia, in Perth, and Charlotte Raymond, who studies International Relations at La Trobe University, in Melbourne.

The researcher, Juncal Fernández Garayzabal, a Doctoral student in the University Institute for Migrations Studies, helped them to prepare the theme “Do Undocumented Immigrants have the Right to Free/Subsidized Education in the Country they Immigrate to?”.
