About FGV-EAESP, São Paulo, Brazil
3rd February 2014Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), founded in São Paulo in 1944, is a world renowned center for quality education dedicated to promoting Brazil’s economic and social development. With eight schools, two research institutes, technical assistance projects, and a publishing unit, FGV is ranked among the Top 25 Think Tanks and Top 100 higher education institutions in the World.
Under the umbrella of FGV, the Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo (São Paulo Business Administration School, FGV-EAESP) was established in 1954 with the help of professors from Michigan State University. Today, in partnerships with Brazilian governmental agencies and domestic and foreign corporations, the school of management maintains 20 areas of study and an internationally regarded research center. It is the only South American university to receive the combined accreditations from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Association of MBAs (AMBA).
A part of FGV’s mission is “to contribute to the country’s social and economic development, improving the nation’s ethical standards, promoting a responsible and shared government, and inserting the country into the international stage.”
