Going Global!

ESB welcomes IPBS partner North Carolina State University’s summer school participants! On Thursday, May 16th, 21 NCSU students and 3 faculty members officially started the 6 week summer school program which is taking place for the first time here in Reutlingen. The majority of the students are from the Poole College of Business and the Textile/Design Schools and they are Going Global as their T-shirts indicate. The students attend lectures held by their own professors Christopher McKittrick and Helmut Hergeth as well as ESB’s professor Hans-Peter Baumeister and guest lecture Nils Bunjes from the Europa Zentrum Baden-Württemberg. The students have a colorful program including cultural excursions to Tübingen, Munich, Berchtesgarden, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hannover, Munster, Bochum, Mönchengladbach, Cologne and Braubach and numerous business trips as well.
On Wednesday, May 22nd, the students enjoyed an inside look at the assembly lines of the Mercedes Benz C-Class Sedan, E-Class (Sedan and Estate), S-Class, CL-Class, and CLS-Class, CLS Shooting Brake, SLS AMG (Coupé and Roadster)at the Daimler factory in Sindelfingen. Other local company visits are planned. We wish our guests an enjoyable time in Germany! We hope the weather will show its better side for you soon!
