Student Engagement
Student voice, participation and leadership
The IPBS Student Council was rebuilt in 2019 and since then has acted as a representing and administrative body for all IPBS-wide student-led activities with the aim to connect IPBS Students throughout the network and to empower the community spirit. Moreover, it is the connecting body between the IPBS universities and the students as the Student Council Leads attend the semi-annual IPBS Meetings and strengthen the IPBS network and fruitful exchange between universities, professors, programme directors and students. This allows to take the students’ voice actively in the decision-making process into account with regard to the best shape of their educational experience.

UPCOMING EVENTS
There are various events throughout the year that the IPBS Student Council either organizes or is represented at:
- Coffee Chats
Coffee Chats are casual but intriguing online sessions hosted by the IPBS Student Council to connect students worldwide. The short sessions are designed for alumni to share their ideas, knowledge, and insights on their career decisions with current students in the network. Previous sessions featured Christopher Schell, COO of Intel, Josefine Durr, Analyst at BlackRock, and Laura Proefrock, ex-McKinsey and Chief of Staff at Peppy.
The following sessions will be advertised via email through your local representatives and LinkedIn:
IPBS Student Forum
IPBS Student Forum: An annual 1-2 day networking event designed for students and alumni of the entire IPBS network. The forum provides a unique opportunity for participants to engage in career advice sessions, network with successful alumni, and take part in various interactive activities.
Past Forums:
– Madrid 2023: The revival of the IPBS Student Forum, setting a standard for an annual event for networking and professional development within the IPBS community.
– Dublin 2024: Featured a day of workshops, keynote sessions, and an exclusive dinner, followed by a day of social activities and tours around Dublin, fostering connections and lasting friendships.
