Speaking to the next generation of #BrockU business leaders, Julie Dell’Aniello, shared leadership lessons that came with a key piece of advice: Don’t let a difficult decision stand in the way of doing the right thing.

Dell’Aniello, President of Martin Brower Canada, visited Brock earlier this week to receive the 2025 Goodman School of Business at Brock University Distinguished Leader Award. More than 150 students and members of the hashtag#BrockUCommunity gathered to hear Dell’Aniello insights, including her message that individuals at all levels can solve problems across an organization.  Goodman graduate enhances classroom learning through Black History Month programming.

As part of a guest-speaker series, Nathan Rankin (BSM ’16, MBA ’19) joined an Advanced Business Analytics course to share career insights from the data science and analytics field. His talk was one of many course-integrated events that welcomed guest speakers to campus in recognition of Black History Month/African Heritage Month.

Rankin not only dived into machine learning models and leveraging unstructured text data, but also how his time in Brock University‘s MBA program helped him develop critical skills that have been instrumental in advancing his role in data science and business decision-making.

In this interview, alumna Tina Papatzikos-Leicht talks about the MBA International Management Part-Time together with program director Prof. Dr. Gerd Nufer. She gives an insight into her studies and their positive influence on her career: “For me, the MBA was a catalyst. I was actively approached by a new employer while I was still studying.”

 Lancaster University is proud to officially launch our new Deakin Lancaster Indonesia (DLI) campus!

By partnering with Deakin University, they have created something unique – the first UK-Australia joint international campus.

The new campus is located in the vibrant city of Bandung and offers dual degrees from both internationally-renowned institutions in a state-of-the-art learning environment. The launch event on Wednesday 26 February brought together Lancaster University and Deakin University leaders, and senior government, education and diplomatic representatives.

Six Elon students securing a second place at VCIC

Elon University’s team once again clinched a second-place finish at the 2025 Undergraduate East Regional Finals of the VCIC (Venture Capital Investment Competition) at the University of Florida.This year marks the second consecutive year that the Love School of Business team placed second, previously the team placed fifth in 2022 and third in 2023.

“VCIC provides a rigorous, real-world platform for students to integrate finance, strategy, entrepreneurship, marketing, negotiation, and legal complexities including drafting term sheets,” said Martina. “Each year, our participants leave with invaluable, hands-on experience that truly bridges theory and practice.”

Competitive rotational programs put Goodman graduate in route for career success.

Securing one of five spots in Canadian Tire Corporation‘s Next Generation Talent program, Mudit Chhabra (MBA ’24) will spend the next two years in three different roles, expanding his practical experience and leadership skills, after completing his graduate studies in December. Beginning his first rotation in January, he currently optimizes payroll, benefits and other HR functions for the company’s 30,000 employees as a Business Systems Analyst in the Workday and HR platforms team. DCU Business School Accounting and Finance students welcomed Brian Murphy and Brendan McGahon

DCU Business School Accounting and Finance students welcomed back Brian Murphy, Partner in Deloitte and Ireland lead of the #BestManagedCompany award programme, along with Brendan McGahon, Head of Operations and Fiona Walsh, HR Operations Manager from Viatel Technology Group – a Best Managed company.

Their insights and expertise brought real-world context to our classroom and elevated the learning experience for everyone involved.The session was directly tied to our Challenge-Based Learning Assignment launched by Brian earlier this year, where students were tasked with judging a Best Managed Company application.  Hearing first-hand about the principles and practices that define a “best managed company” gave our students invaluable perspectives on #governance, #financials and #leadership excellence.

A huge thank you to our guest speakers for sharing their time and congratulations to the winning group for their outstanding work on the challenge! Their critical analysis and professional presentation were incredibly impressive.
