Reutlingen University honors outstanding achievements in research and teaching

This year, Reutlingen University is once again honoring its special achievements in research and teaching by presenting three awards: the Research Award, the University Teaching Award and the Teaching Award for Sustainability and Diversity.

This year’s research award goes to Dipl.-Ing. Kai Nebel and his two long-standing employees Dipl.-Ing. Martina Gerbig and Catalina Szerbakowski from TEXOVERSUM Fakultät Textil – Hochschule Reutlingen.

The University Teaching Award 2024 will be awarded to Prof. Dr. Carsten Raudzis of the Faculty of Engineering.

The Teaching Award for Sustainability and Diversity goes to Prof. Dr. Elizabeth Hofvenschiöld from the ESB Business School, Reutlingen University. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eU3Gp6PP

Lancaster University Management School ranked 76th in Europe

The Financial Times European Business Schools rankings have been released today, and we’re proud to announce that LUMS has been ranked 76th in Europe.

Their Executive MBA and Master’s in Management programmes are also ranked in the top 100.

⭐LUMS is ranked 76th in Europe.

⭐Executive MBA – Our EMBA programme is 57th in Europe, with graduates reporting an average 58% salary increase.

⭐Master’s in Management – Our MiM programme is ranked 75th in the world, with graduates reporting an average 41% salary increase.

🏆 NEOMA Business School has moved up two places and is ranked 32nd in Europe in the prestigious ranking of the Financial Times “European Business Schools 2024”.

This ranking is the result of the compilation of rankings of several programs carried out during the year: the ranking of MBAs, Executive MBAs, Masters in Management, as well as the two rankings relating to Executive Education (“Custom” and “Open” programs).NEOMA is present in four categories* and is making progress in the entire segment dedicated to vocational training:

  • Executive MBA: + 1 place at the European level
  • Executive Education “Custom programmes” (tailor-made training): +9 places at European level
  • Executive Education “Open programmes” (inter-company training): new entry this year directly in 24th place in Europe.

These results confirm our development ambitions in Executive Education for the years to come with the aim of strengthening our growth prospects in the continuing education market.

Hyunuk Kim, assistant professor at the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business new reseach

Assistant Professor Hyunuk Kim has published research on how digital art collectors navigate the NFT market using their digital wallets

Hyunuk Kim, assistant professor at the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, has co-authored a study exploring the purchasing behaviors of digital art collectors in the rapidly expanding “NFT” non-fungible token market.

NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are unique digital assets that represent ownership of items like digital art, music, or other media, securely stored using blockchain technology.

Kim studied how collectors, known as ‘wallets’ because of their digital storage methods, choose and purchase NFTs from various collections.

The study, “Wallets’ explorations across non-fungible token collections,” was published in Scientific Reports and co-authored with Seonbin Jo and Woo-Sung Jung of Pohang University of Science and Technology.

 

Goodman School of Business at Brock University‘s Bachelor of Business Administration International Double Degree program has been re-accredited by EFMD Global – the European Foundation of Management Development.

“It’s a big factor in being able to find work after the bachelor’s degree,” says fourth-year Double Degree student, Franziska Hüning, about the accreditation which recognizes the program’s commitment to improvement and dedication to excellence.

Huening applied to the program at ESB Business School, Reutlingen University in Germany where she spent the first part of her degree. She set her sights on Canada at Goodman, opening the door to academic and professional experiences in two countries while also fulfilling her dream to travel the Americas.

📣 For the 2nd year in a row, NEOMA has been ranked 6th in the ranking of business schools in Challenges.

More specifically, the School occupies:

Dublin City University 12th in the world for environmental sustainability.

Overall, Dublin City University is ranked in the top 10% of institutions in the world in latest QS Sustainability Rankings.

Dublin City University has improved its scores for environmental research and sustainability in the global QS Sustainability 2025 rankings, which examine how third-level institutions are tackling the world’s environmental and social challenges. DCU also improved its score for environmental and social impact this year, and retained its position as fourth best institution in Ireland.

Speaking about the results, Professor Daire Keogh, DCU President said:

“These rankings are a welcome recognition of the University’s longstanding work in the field of environmental sustainability. They position us as a world leader in this area, something we could not have achieved without the commitment and hard work of DCU staff, right across the University.”

New Prize at Lancaster University Management School

We are proud to launch a new prize in memory of a much-missed member of the LUMS community, Professor John Boylan.The Boylan Prize will serve as a lasting tribute to John, a distinguished scholar and Professor of Business Analytics.
