FGU Excellence Award– Julian Limmer receives recognition for his outstanding thesis 🏆

The FGU Excellence Award, presented annually by the Franco-German University (FGU), recognises exceptional theses from students in Franco-German degree programmes. The award celebrates work that promotes collaboration and understanding between France and Germany, enhancing the European academic experience. 🤝

We are proud to celebrate our student Julian Limmer, who was honoured with the FGU Excellence Award 2025 for his thesis, “How does the entrepreneurial ecosystem impact the success of start-ups? An analysis of Station F.”  Julian’s research sheds light on how entrepreneurial ecosystems, like Station F, contribute to the success of startups. Station F, the world’s largest start-up hub located in Paris, offers support systems, networks, and resources that foster growth and innovation. 📈

Why are entrepreneurial ecosystems important?  Julian’s research shows how Station F provides the right environment for growth. The result: Close networking, direct access to investors, and exchange with other founders are key factors that make Station F attractive to the new groundbreaking startups. 🚀

Julian’s Franco-German Experience: Studying in the Franco-German link of our BSc International Management Double Degree programme, Julian has benefited from the cultural and academic exchange between ESB Business School in Reutlingen and NEOMA Business School in Reims. “The Franco-German friendship is more than a political concept. I believe it creates real opportunities, whether for personal connections or shared innovations in business and technology. I see preserving this friendship as more essential than ever today,” – says Julian. 🤝🌍
