MGM goes Porsche
27th February 2023A recent excursion took the MGM (MSc Global Management & Digital Competencies) Class of 2023 to Porsche in Stuttgart. Following a fascinating dedicated tour of the futuristic production plant of the Taycan, the company’s first-ever fully electric vehicle, the class had lunch and the chance to network with interesting Porsche employees from areas such as HR & Employer Branding, Finance and Digital Controlling, some of whom were ESB alumni. Early afternoon the students had time to visit the Porsche Museum, itself housed in a building that looks like a space ship (!) and try their hand at the Porsche driving experience by taking a car of their choice for a cruise around a racing track of their choice -using a simulator of course! A highlight of the day was the final presentations of how Porsche is engaging with digital disruption in the areas of Digital Strategy & Organization as well as the opportunities (master thesis topics, working studentships, careers) it offers graduates, even those who do not speak German, with the necessary skillset to help it cope with the arising challenges.
