An award dedicated to Italian female researchers under 40

“Being a Technovisionary today means remaining faithful to one’s vision, rigorously cultivating the desire to understand, explore, ask, despite everything. This award, for me, is a political act of equity, future and shared possibility: it makes visible the often invisible work of research. Thanks to Women&Tech® – Associazione Donne e Tecnologie – ETS, the Le Tecnovisionarie® Award and the Catholic University. To women in science: we are a network, and we are never alone.”

With these words, Alice Chirico, a researcher at the Catholic University, welcomed the Le Tecnovisionarie®, awarded yesterday evening at the Museum of Science and Technology, in the presence of the Rector’s Delegate for Equal Opportunities, Professor Raffaella Iafrate.

An award dedicated to Italian female researchers under 40 who are redefining the boundaries of science and technology in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, new materials, space, energy and environment, health and biotechnology.
In a world in continuous transformation, the award celebrates the contribution of women who, with passion and competence, are building a more innovative and sustainable future. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/gsBi4M6

🚴‍♀ Kilometres for a Good Cause at ESB: 17 Students – 800 km – €26,000 Raised 🚴‍♀

Once again this year, students from ESB Business School set off with sporting endurance and strong team spirit to raise money for a good cause. The student-led initiative ESB Relay Cycling for Charity completed its 22nd tour, this time riding from Reutlingen to Hamburg. The result: €26,000, which was donated to two long-standing partner organisations: Integramus e. V. and the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e.V..

🤝 The donation handover on campus showed just how much this support means:
“Without this donation, we would have to shut down many projects. We all work on a voluntary basis – for orphans in Kenya, war orphans from Ukraine, or to build wells in Africa,” said Luba Maier from Integramus.
“Music therapy, art therapy, mentoring programmes – everything we do relies on donations. We couldn’t do it without people like you,” added Anton Hofmann from the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e. V.

Planning for the 2026 tour is already underway. Since 2004, ESB Cycling for Charity has raised more than €500,000 – driven by personal initiative, perseverance and a strong sense of social responsibility.
