Students from Fundaçao Getulio Vargas achieved 2nd place in Hackathon

FGV EPPGE students shone in the hackathon promoted by USP, winning 2nd place overall in a dispute dedicated to the development of sustainable public policies aligned with the COP30 agenda. In the final presentation, the group represented the school with excellence, received a 3D printer as a prize and even had its project selected for implementation by the City of São Paulo. “Teaching Excellence Day”: a day at the heart of pedagogical innovation at NEOMA 💡

In December, NEOMA brought together its academic community for the “Teaching Excellence Day”, a key event dedicated to sharing, reflecting on and continuously improving our teaching practices.

In a context where students’ expectations are changing rapidly, a new relationship with knowledge in the age of AI, reinforced critical thinking, new ways of learning, this event had a clear objective: to stimulate student engagement, share initiatives that work and explore new pedagogical approaches.

Throughout the day, the exchanges were rich, concrete and inspiring, illustrating the school’s collective desire to strengthen the excellence of its practices, in the service of student success and employability.

The “Teaching Excellence Day” was also an opportunity to highlight the impact of research on teaching through the “Best Research Impact Award”. 👏 Thus, 4 experts from Deakin University, University of Sussex, University of Bristol and Copenhagen Business School awarded 2 prizes:

  • 🏆 Best Research Impact Award: Diana Mangalagiu – The World We Want Centre of Excellence, Information System, Supply Chain Management & Decision Support Department
  • 🥈 Best Research Impact Runner-Up Award: julien jacqmin – The Future of Work Centre of Excellence, Finance Department

NC State Students Advance to Deloitte FanTAXtic Nationals

Five Poole College of Management students on the Deloitte FanTAXtic Case Competition Team won the regional competition and have earned a spot at nationals, hosted by Deloitte University in January 2026.

The student team — Avery Botnick (team captain), Carson Fraley, Kate Hayes, Sophia Seifert and Jack Ryan — competed against more than 80 teams made up of nearly 450 students and faculty from 59 colleges and universities across the country. After advancing out of the regional round, the team will travel to Deloitte University January 23-25, 2026, to represent NC State at the national competition.

The Deloitte FanTAXtic competition challenges students to analyze a complex, real-world business scenario through a tax and consulting lens. Teams must research and calculate tax implications, craft a professional presentation and defend their recommendations during a live Q&A with judges.
