Going Global for the 5th Year in a Row!
3rd July 2017For the 5th year in a row ESB Business School has hosted a 6 week summer school for our IPBS partner – North Carolina State University (NCSU). 32 NCSU students took part in this year’s program who were accompanied by 2 professors and a staff member from NCSU. The students had a compact program that included Accounting, Financial Management which were taught by NCSU professors as well as a history and current issues course about the European Union. This was taught by EU expert Mr. Nils Bunjes from the Europazentrum and Emeriti Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Baumeister.
The program began on May 18th and ended on June 24th. Besides attending lectures in Reutlingen, they also visited cultural sites including Burg Hohenzollern, Heidelberg, Dachau, Rüdesheim, Munich and several companies including Daimler, Stoll, Interstuhl, KPMG, Nora Systems, BMW Welt & Museum.
Many of the students were surprised at how many famous companies are within such a short distance to Reutlingen. They were very impressed with the small companies that have gone global, especially Interstuhl which is situated on the Swabian Alb in a village with only 1,000 inhabitants.
We hope that they enjoyed their time here and will continue to think and Go Global in the future!
