We are thrilled to announce that NC State has received a $500,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities!

This grant will go towards the establishment of the Embedding AI in Society Ethically (EASE) Center at NC State, which will serve as a hub for research on AI ethics. You can read more about the grant, and other recipients, in the article below.

🌱 Sustainability expert: Welcome to ESB Business School, Prof. Dr. Wolfram Heger! 🌱

With this new faculty member, our curriculum is bound to become even more impactful and sustainable. Starting this winter semester, Professor Dr Wolfram Heger will take on his role as a professor for Sustainability Management in our business and engineering programmes.

We’ve asked him to share 5 facts about his career and his new position:

📚 Political science meets economics: Professor Heger holds a Master of Political Science from the University of Denver, a diploma in Economics from Heidelberg University, and a doctorate from Giessen University.

🌍 Sustainability expert: With over 20 years of experience in the corporate sector, he has held roles such as Senior Manager Sustainability at Mercedes-Benz and founded his own consultancy for SMEs.

♻️ ESG is key: Professor Heger’s research in sustainability management delves into ESG (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance), ESG key performance indicators, stakeholder management, and human rights.

🎓 Teaching vision: At ESB, he will cover a broad range of topics in his classes including sustainability/ESG management, CSR, business ethics, and sustainable consumption and production.

💪 Personal motivation: “I am convinced that knowing how to manage sustainability is and will be a core competence of every future manager or business engineer. Therefore, I am very excited to start working with the new team and the students – to pass on my experiences and work together on sustainable solutions in teaching, research, and practice!”

The Guardian University Guide 2025 has been released, and we’re delighted to announce that all Lancaster University Management School subjects are ranked in the top 15 in the subject league tables

⭐Accounting and Finance 7th, 4th for graduate prospects
⭐Economics 12th, 10th for satisfaction with teaching and 9th for graduate prospects

FGV Clima launched the new applied research center of FGV EESP.

Fundaçao Getulio Vargas in collaboration with the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and the Institute for Climate and Society, inaugurated to focus on the debate on the climate crisis.

The initiative will have the mission of preparing technical diagnoses for strategic sectors of the energy transition, contributing to the formulation of an action plan of the MME.

At the event, Amanda Schutze, Executive Coordinator of FGV Clima, highlighted the commitment to strengthen climate action and promote sustainable development in Brazil.

Dublin City University Business School has been honoured with an award for its contributions to the during the network’s recent meeting in Reutlingen, Germany.

The award recognises DCU Business School’s 27 years of active hashtag#participation in hashtag#IPBS, a global network that has been at the forefront of transforming students’ lives through international business education for over 50 years.

Dr. Marty Reilly accepted the award on behalf of DCU Business School. The presentation was made by Barry Wright, Dean of Brock University, during the formal ceremony held last night.

This recognition underscores the significant role DCU Business School has played in fostering cross-border collaboration and innovation within the global business education community.
