Speaker Announcement for Business DCU “Let’s Talk” Event!

It is great to unveil the first speaker for the upcoming Business DCU Let’s Talk event on the 19th of February – Yemi A., a distinguished graduate of the Dublin City University MSc Accounting programme (2012).

Yemi will also be taking part in the opening panel discussion on the day where our panellists will share their career and postgraduate experience.

Yemi is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Insurance Practitioner, holding a management diploma in Insurance from the prestigious Insurance Institute of Ireland. Currently serving as a Senior Manager – Group Internal Audit at the Bank of Ireland and worked at Apple before this post, he brings a wealth of expertise.

Beyond his demanding career, Yemi passionately dedicates his spare time to meaningful volunteer work for church and non-profit organisations. Notably, his term as the head of Corporate Partnerships at the African Professional Network of Ireland (APNI), a non-profit organisation committed to fostering diversity and inclusion within Ireland’s corporate landscape.

New online certificate from the NC State Poole College of Management 

A new online certificate from the NC State Poole College of Management will give students hands-on experience to address global challenges through sustainable business practices. Learn more about the innovative Business Sustainability Certificate.

The online, flexible certificate program will bring together students with a passion for social and environmental issues and train them to become tomorrow’s sustainability leaders.

The new NC State Business Sustainability Certificate will give students hands-on experience working with faculty and industry leaders to address global challenges through sustainable business practices.

Developed through a collaboration between NC State’s Poole College of Management and College of Natural Resources, the certificate “is innovative, global and applied,” says Jessica Yinka Thomas, director of the NC State Business Sustainability Collaborative and associate professor of practice in Poole College.

“Participants will analyze how sustainable business strategies are used as drivers for innovation, collaboration and transformation, including leading edge business topics from Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) metrics to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, from a global perspective,” she says.

Students will also have the ability to apply those skills to decision-making for business through multiple practicum courses. The flexible, 12-credit certificate program can be completed entirely online, with optional in-person courses and global experiences.

Brock University has been recognized by Forbes as one of the top employers in the country.

The University ranked third overall in the annual list of Canada’s Best Employers compiled by Forbes and market research firm Statista.

The rankings, which were released Tuesday, Jan. 23 and include 300 organizations from across the country, are based on survey results from more than 40,000 people working for Canadian companies and institutions with at least 500 employees. Brock followed only The Hershey Company, which ranked first, and Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, which ranked second.

Reutlingen University and ESB Business School score excellent results.

New year, new top marks: For the second time in a row, Reutlingen University (Reutlingen University) has received the StudyCheck Award as one of the most popular hashtag#universities in Germany. The ESB Business School’s degree programmes also scored top results in the student-based hashtag#ranking.

StudyCheck used almost 79,000 hashtag#evaluations from 2023 for the independent university ranking. The results show that the Reutlingen campus is one of Germany’s most popular places to study. In a university-wide comparison, Reutlingen secured third place in Baden-Württemberg (TOP university) and ranks among the hashtag#top10 nationwide.

ESB Business School’s degree programmes perform particularly well on StudyCheck. Four of Reutlingen University’s top five degree programmes on the platform are run by ESB.
