NCSU Wolfpack arrives in Reutlingen!
20th May 2014ESB Business School welcomes IPBS partner North Carolina State University’s summer school participants! On Tuesday, May 13th, 30 NCSU students and 2 faculty members officially started a 6 week summer school program which is taking place for the second time here in Reutlingen. They have been accompanied by Ms. Roshaunda Breeden, Coordinator for Diversity and Student Involvement at NCSU who has helped settle them into their new surroundings. Upon arrival, Julie Scheetz and IMDD German-American link student, Anja Reiner showed them around the area. Anja and a few of her classmates in the IMDD German-American link who will soon be spending 2 years at NCSU for the double-degree program have been helping to answer the participants questions and showing them more attractions around the area. On Sunday, May 18th under warm and sunny skies, the group travelled to Tübingen and was given a city tour by Udo Stelzer and Julie Scheetz. They also enjoyed a one-hour punting boat ride on the Neckar River.
The majority of the students are from the Poole College of Business and the Textile/Design Schools and they are Going Global through this special program. The students, many of whom have left the United States of American for their very first time attend lectures held by their own professors Ernest Carraway and Helmut Hergeth as well as ESB’s professor Hans-Peter Baumeister and guest lecture Nils Bunjes from the Europa Zentrum Baden-Württemberg. The students have a colorful program including cultural excursions and company visits in Heidelberg, Frankfurt, Cologne, Marksburg Castle and Berlin. Local excursions and company visits are planned. We wish our guests an enjoyable time in Germany!
